WHO I AM

My name is Maria and I am an enthusiastic native Italian teacher with extensive experience teaching Italian as a foreign language. 
I was born in Naples in 1984. In 2007 I obtained a bachelor's degree in Italian literature from the L'Orientale University of Naples and in 2008 I obtained a Master of Arts in Italian linguistics from the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna. Subsequently, I decided to teach Italian as a foreign language and, to acquire the necessary teaching skills and competences, I studied and obtained the DITALS II, which is the official certification for teaching Italian as a foreign or second language, issued by the University for Foreigners of Siena 1. 
Since 2009 I have taught both privately and in language schools at all levels, from beginners' courses to translation and interpreting courses, from general Italian courses to preparation courses for the CILS and CELI exams, which are the official certification exams of Italian as a second language issued respectively by the University for Foreigners of Siena and Perugia, of which I am an authorized and certified examiner.  I also work as an English/Italian, German/Italian translator.
